President Duterte declared the 2021 Philippine holidays in the Philippines by virtue of Proclamation no 986, series of 2020.

This post will be updated with info for the holiday date for the holidays Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha for 2021 once the dates are declared by Macalanang.
Why is knowing the holiday in the Philippines important?
The info on national holidays are important especially among employees for they will get holiday pay if they meet the DOLE guidelines for holiday premium.
This list is also important among those who wants to book promo fare tickets for long weekends and holidays ahead of time. As you know airline and shipping companies usually announces ticket sale during most holidays.
The holidays are also important for those who plans to transact with government offices. During holidays, most government offices are close.
And more importantly, these dates are very special to the Filipinos from celebration of heroes to Holy Week to Christmas day.

To be announced at a future date are the holidays for Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha. Most likely the Eid’l Fitr will be declared for a day in May 2021 and Eid al Adha for a day this coming July 2021. But again, we all have to wait for President Duterte to make a proclamation for these Muslim holidays. Stay tuned for our update.
Aside from the list of nationwide holidays for 2021 above, there are also city-wide, municipality-wide, and province-wide special (non-working) holidays which is also governed by the DOLE holiday pay rules.
